For years, Disney theme park fans had to rely on official company publications and news reports for information about upcoming parks and attractions. Then we received the blessings of the interwebs and now anyone can post flawless, reliable, impeccable information about upcoming Disney projects (5th theme park! Harry Potter! Shadowlands! Fire Mountain!) and share it with the entire world.

The problem is that every site publishes their juicy scoops but no one links to each other. Well, we do. We’re going to collect the best Disney park rumors from around the web and keep them here in a convenient list with a pleasing font and color scheme for your reading pleasure. We’ve divided the rumors by Disney resort; click one of the links on the menu to your right to start exploring.

Many of these might turn out to be nothing but hot air, and even those that actually being worked on by WDI might go through several iterations or be scuttled completely (hellooo WESTCOT). Still, even bad rumors are fun so here’s what’s being whispered about for the future…

One note: It’s hard to pick which rumors to post and which to ignore. Some sites obviously have better track records and credibility than others, so it’s hard to justify certain rumors based on hearsay from a single source. Still, some are just too good to ignore. So we’re going to start time-stamping our entries on this list. If, after one year, there’s no double-sourcing or further progress on a sketchy entry it’ll get wiped off the list and archived in the Treasure Trove of Unfounded Speculation. This should give us some more leeway in posting things that teeter on the razor’s edge of credibility.
